Filming inside a hospital is a privilege that can be revoked in a single afternoon. Our process exists to make sure it never is.

Discovery with hospital leadership

We start with the people who own the outcome — marketing, HR, the service line chief, the privacy officer, and the foundation lead if the film supports a campaign. Together we define what the film must do, who it must move, and who has to say yes before anything is scheduled.

Sensitivity & compliance planning

We walk the unit with charge nurses and managers, map sightlines, and identify what the camera will never see. Then we build a HIPAA-aware consent and release workflow with your privacy office — one that protects patients, families, and staff at every step.

Discreet filming

Two to four people. Available light wherever possible. No stands in corridors, no cables across thresholds, no clinical staff waiting on us. We shadow before we roll, follow unit protocols, and never interrupt the work of caring for people.

Cinematic editing

The edit is where the story becomes a film. Real color grading, original score, and documentary pacing turn raw moments into something candidates, donors, and communities remember. Families and clinical subjects review before administrators do.

Delivery for every channel

We deliver master films plus cutdowns optimized for recruitment sites, social platforms, websites, gala screens, internal town halls, and press kits. Then we stay engaged to measure what actually moved — applications, referrals, gifts, and engagement.

Non-negotiables

Things we will not do, at any budget.

—Film any patient, family member, or identifiable record without documented consent.
—Recreate a clinical moment and present it as observational footage.
—Delay, reroute, or crowd a clinical team for the sake of a shot.
—Release a family's story before that family has watched and approved the cut.
—Overstate a research finding or an outcome in service of a campaign.

HIPAA-aware footprint & consent overview

The one-page summary we send to compliance, nursing leadership, and legal before a single camera enters a unit. The full protocol document goes out on request.

Small crew: Two to four people, soft light or available light, no rolling carts through corridors. If a room can't hold us and care at the same time, we don't film there.
Consent workflow: Written consent before recording for every patient and family member, re-confirmed on the day, and revocable at any point through the final cut. Staff sign separately.
No staging: We do not recreate clinical moments and present them as observed. What's on screen happened, in the order it happened.
Family review before admin: Families see the cut that features them before hospital leadership, marketing, or the public does. Their notes are honored.
No clinical interruption: Care always wins. Any clinician, at any moment, can end a take with a word or a look, and no one asks why.
